Faithfully LGBTQ+ Series
Rooted in our commitment to the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in the life and leadership of the church, this November, we’re embarking on a new series entitled “Faithfully LGBTQ.” This faith formation opportunity will include multiple sessions focused on deepening our understanding of our LGBTQ+ neighbors and ourselves and committing to live into this learning together in our faith community.

Sessions will be held approximately every two months, providing intentional time and space to integrate this learning into our community life. Each future session topic will grow out of the conversations we share and our collective discernment.
The second session of the Faithfully LGBTQ+ Series will be held on Sunday, January 26th. We’ll continue the series with a discussion of the biblical and theological foundations for LGBTQ+ inclusion in the church. Those who were not able to make it to the first session are welcome to join! This session will cover the “clobber passages” often used against the LGBTQ+ community, as well as affirming scriptures and theological frameworks to support the work of inclusion. This is a non-judgmental, courageous space for all of us to share our lived experiences of faith and scripture, ask our most honest questions, and discern together how we can grow in our communal spiritual practice of inclusion.

Lunch will be provided beginning at 11:30 am in St. Andrew’s Parish Hall, followed by our learning and conversation from 12:00pm-1:30pm. To help us plan accordingly for the session, please fill out this form to let us know you’ll be joining us!
